Democrat Party Pledges Loyalty to Prabowo Government, AHY Assures

Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), the Chairman of the Democrat Party of Indonesia, has stated that President Prabowo Subianto can rely on the Democrat Party, emphasizing the party's commitment to loyalty and responsibility in ensuring the success of the government. AHY conveyed this in his speech to President Prabowo at the peak of the Democrat Party's 25th anniversary celebration held at the Indonesia Arena in Jakarta. He initially invoked military values, highlighting the importance of knowing who stands beside one during a mission. "In military life, we know a value that in a mission, we must know precisely who stands firmly beside us. Especially when any situation arises, in good times and bad, we must know that person can still be relied upon," AHY stated. AHY asserted that Prabowo can depend on the Democrat Party to help the wheels of government turn successfully. He also reaffirmed his commitment to loyalty and trustworthiness in guiding the Prabowo administration towards success. "Allow me, Mr. President, to sincerely convey that you can rely on the Democrat Party. We will work with loyalty, we will carry out our mandate with full responsibility, and we will continue to give our best to help this government succeed," he said. AHY also mentioned that there is no conflict between being loyal to the government and being faithful to the people. According to him, continuously being faithful to the people while also seeking solutions to various problems is a form of responsible politics. "Precisely because we want this government to succeed, we must continue to listen to the voice of the people and participate in finding solutions. That is responsible politics," AHY revealed. "As you often remind us, Mr. President, we must not fear reality, but we must dare to improve reality. This is what we also adhere to and implement," he added.
