Cable Cars Proposed for High-Value Crop Transport in Philippine Mountains

A proposal to utilize cable car systems for transporting high-value crops from mountainous regions was raised during budget deliberations in the Philippines' House of Representatives. Alongside existing farm-to-market road development, the consideration of new transport methods is progressing. The proposed 2027 national budget is also expected to include provisions for El Niño preparedness and support for the ube industry.
