Tuyen Quang High School for the Gifted Exam Center Nullified, All Subjects to be Retaken

Vietnam's Ministry of Education and Training has decided to nullify all exam results and conduct retakes for all subjects at the Tuyen Quang High School for the Gifted exam center, scheduled for August 14th and 15th, due to suspected irregularities. The ministry stated that the retakes are aimed at ensuring objectivity and fairness in the examination process, and are not disciplinary measures against the students. This decision followed an investigation prompted by "unusual signs" in the exam proctoring at the school. Consequently, the principal of Tuyen Quang High School for the Gifted and six other individuals were previously prosecuted, and one additional teacher has now been charged. These investigations aim to thoroughly clarify any fraudulent activities within the admission process. The Ministry of Education and Training confirmed that students from this exam center will still be eligible to register for university admissions according to the general admission plan. The ministry also indicated that it will continue to review exam organization in Quang Tri province and strictly handle any violations.
