Phuket provincial and district officials conducted a surprise inspection of an entertainment venue in Mueang Phuket District starting at 12:30 a.m. on September 20, 2026. The operation aimed to enforce regulations and maintain public order. The on-site team was led by Phuket Provincial Prevention Officer Akkhara Suwattikul, with support from the Assistant District Chief, police, Phuket Tourist Police, and local administrative officials from the Asoke District. The inspection targeted employees and patrons within the venue, resulting in drug tests for a total of 58 individuals. All 58 individuals tested returned negative for drug use. Authorities also verified the venue's compliance with relevant laws, finding no violations at this time.
