MILF Convoy Stopped Due to Uncoordinated Movement, PNP States

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday clarified the reason why a convoy of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) was stopped at a checkpoint in Kolambugan, Lanao del Norte. According to the PNP, the convoy was only coordinated for movement within Lanao del Sur. "Ngayon ay mayroon naman silang prior coordination, but ang prior coordination is within Lanao del Sur," said PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo in a press briefing.
