Papua-wide Housing Renovation Program Targets Over 500 Houses Per Regency

Minister of Housing and Settlements Maruarar Sirait announced that all 42 regencies and cities in Papua will receive a house renovation program. Each district and city is allocated a minimum of 500 houses to be repaired. The statement was made by Maruarar or Ara at the Mass Akad 62,000 Units of Subsidized House KPR and Rp880 billion Housing KUR in Batang Regency, Central Java, Thursday, July 30, 2026. Ara said the policy was taken by looking at data from the Central Statistics Agency or BPS. He said that of the 20 regions with high poverty rates, 19 were in Papua.
