Vietnam Donates VND 300 Million to Children Battling Serious Illnesses

Vietnam's prominent newspaper Tuoi Tre, along with anonymous philanthropists, has donated a total of VND 300 million (approximately USD 12,000) to support children battling incurable diseases. This contribution aims to provide financial and emotional relief to these children and their families. While Vietnam, under its one-party system, pursues social welfare policies, challenges persist regarding escalating medical costs and the limitations of support systems for rare diseases. In this context, voluntary support activities by media and citizens play a crucial role in fostering social solidarity.
