Cambodia Finalizes Preparations for High School Exit Exams; Over 150,000 Candidates to Sit
Cambodia has completed final preparations for its high school exit examinations (Baccalaureate) on August 9. With 151,238 candidates registered, the exam aims for a fair and transparent process, involving approximately 5,000 observers.
Final preparations for the High School Exit Examination (Baccalaureate) have been completed across all 25 provinces and cities in Cambodia on August 9. Officials from the examination management and central committees finalized candidate lists, seating arrangements, examination room layouts, and regulations. They have prepared all related documents with a high sense of responsibility to ensure the examination proceeds smoothly, adhering to legal principles, fairness, transparency, and acceptable results. According to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, in a previous press conference, a total of 151,238 candidates have registered for the examination scheduled for August 10, 2026. Among them, 37,445 candidates are for the Science stream and 113,793 candidates are for the Social Sciences stream. On the examination day, the Anti-Corruption Unit, the Cambodian Youth Federation, provincial and municipal authorities, and approximately 5,000 volunteers will participate as observers to monitor the fair conduct of the examination.
