Myanmar President to Make Official Visit to Vietnam, Marking Key Milestone in Bilateral Ties

At the invitation of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, To Lam, and his spouse, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Min Aung Hlaing, and his spouse, will pay an official visit to Vietnam from September 4 to 6, 2026. This visit marks an important step in developing the comprehensive cooperation partnership between Vietnam and Myanmar in a practical and effective manner. Both countries aim to promote cooperation and share development experiences, and to strengthen friendly and cooperative relations between the peoples of the two nations. As a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Vietnam places importance on regional stability and cooperation, and strengthening ties with Myanmar is seen as part of this effort.
