New 8-storey Paediatric Treatment Building of 550-bed Children Hospital-Mandalay Opened in Mandalay Region

A new 8-storey paediatric treatment building of the 550-bed Children Hospital-Mandalay has been opened in the Mandalay Region, according to the Ministry of Health. On July 4, the opening ceremony of the new 8-storey paediatric treatment building of the 550-bed Children Hospital-Mandalay, Department of Medical Services, Ministry of Health, was held, and the Union Minister for Health, Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win, the Chief Minister of Mandalay Region, U Myo Aung, the Speaker of the Mandalay Region Parliament, and responsible officials opened the new building. Afterwards, they toured and inspected the emergency and outpatient department on the ground floor of the new 8-storey paediatric treatment building, the laboratory sample reception department, the X-ray department, the operating theatres on the first floor, the paediatric treatment ward on the second floor, the paediatric treatment ward on the sixth floor, and the classrooms and the grand meeting hall on the top floor. The 550-bed Children Hospital-Mandalay is providing healthcare services with the opening of the Paediatric Speciality Department, Paediatric Surgery Speciality Department, Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, Paediatric Orthopaedic Speciality Department, Paediatric Development Outpatient Department, Paediatric Cardiology Outpatient Department, and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Subsequently, they inspected the chemotherapy department, inpatient wards, laboratory department, and X-ray department of the Cancer Treatment Building at Mandalay General Hospital, and the dental treatments at Kantawgyi Dental Speciality Department, as well as the production of Zirconia crowns using modern digital technology.
