Cambodian Agriculture Minister Meets Farmers in Banteay Meanchey, Hears of Technical Transfer and Challenges

Cambodian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Dith Tina, visited Ou Cho district in Banteay Meanchey province on the afternoon of the 11th, in his capacity as head of the government working group dispatched to the province. The minister attended a meeting with local residents and agricultural officials to listen directly to the experiences and challenges faced by farmers. The purpose of this visit was to understand the progress of agricultural technology dissemination in rural areas and to grasp the specific problems faced by farmers. In particular, the progress of technical transfer by agricultural officers to farmers was inspected, and its effectiveness and areas for improvement were discussed. The minister carefully listened to the opinions and requests from farmers, indicating his commitment to reflecting them in future agricultural policies.
