In his welcoming remarks, Mr. Huang Tao, Deputy General Manager of CBIC, warmly welcomed the delegates and trainees, emphasizing that in the digital era, new media is a crucial driving force for industrial and economic development. He added that China and ASEAN countries are close neighbors, sharing geographical proximity, and this training aims to sow the seeds of friendship, create a platform for experience exchange and mutual learning, and pursue common benefits. Ms. Zhou Jihong, Director General of NRTA, shared insights into the evolution and key data of China's radio and television sector. Currently, China has over 2,500 broadcasting stations covering more than 99% of the population, with the industry projected to generate approximately 1.52 trillion yuan in revenue in 2025. She further highlighted that the media sector is undergoing profound strategic reforms, transitioning from being mere information providers to becoming hubs for digital life services and social governance, with a focus on developing international-standard content to strengthen cooperation with regional countries. During the opening ceremony, attendees were presented with special selections to support their studies and promote cultural exchange. The organizing committee also put forth two key initiatives: 1. Short Video Production: Trainees are encouraged to produce short videos using mobile phones or cameras during their 14-day study tour. Outstanding works will be selected for screening at the 'International Short Video Contest 2026' organized by NRTA. 2. News Article Writing: Journalists are invited to write and publish special reports or news articles based on their personal experiences to share new perspectives and achievements with the public.
