Vietnam-Canada Relations Enter New Phase with State Visit

Vietnamese President To Lam, who also serves as the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, has undertaken a state visit to Canada. He was extended an invitation by Governor General Louise Arbour and was accompanied by a high-level Vietnamese delegation. The primary objective of this visit is to propel the bilateral relations between Vietnam and Canada into a new era of development. A significant aspect of this engagement involves reinforcing cultural connections, exemplified by the "Tet Trung Thu" (Mid-Autumn Festival) celebrations in Thunder Bay, Canada, which have acted as a vital cultural exchange platform for both countries. Vietnam has consistently underscored the importance it places on its comprehensive partnership with Canada.
