Vietnam-Japan Cooperation Space Inaugurated at Hanoi University of Science and Technology to Foster Academic and Industrial Ties

A new hub, the "Vietnam-Japan Space," has been inaugurated at Hanoi University of Science and Technology to foster academic and industrial collaboration between Vietnam and Japan. This space is envisioned not merely as a learning venue but as an environment where students, faculty, researchers, and businesses from both nations can converge to share knowledge and develop new cooperative programs. This initiative is noteworthy within the context of the Vietnamese government's drive to integrate international expertise and accelerate economic growth. "Vietnam-Japan Space" is expected to host a wide range of activities, including Japanese language learning, understanding Japanese culture, specialized seminars, career networking, student-business exchanges, and joint research projects. Meanwhile, in Da Nang City, the finals of "Digital Dragons: The Cybersecurity Challenge (DDC 2026)" have commenced, aiming to cultivate next-generation talent in cybersecurity. Twenty-five teams from both domestic and international universities are participating, engaging in an 8-hour practical competition that tests comprehensive knowledge and skills in areas such as web application vulnerabilities, network security, advanced cryptography, and real-world simulated scenarios. Furthermore, the University of Economics and Finance Ho Chi Minh City organized the "Mock-Interview & Job Fair 09.2026," offering approximately 3,700 job opportunities from over 100 companies to students. More than 1,250 students had direct interactions with recruiters, securing internship and employment prospects. A highlight of this year's event was the mini-game "Station Run - 5 Company Challenge," encouraging students to experience interviews with multiple firms, thereby exposing them to diverse recruitment styles and selection criteria. These events demonstrate Vietnam's commitment to strengthening its foundations for future growth in education, technology, and international cooperation.
