Cambodian Defence Minister to Undertake Historic First Official Visit to Australia
Cambodia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, General Tea Seiha, will embark on a historic first official visit to Australia from September 6-10. The visit aims to strengthen defense cooperation between the two nations.
AKP Phnom Penh, September 4, 2026 -- At the invitation of H.E. Richard Marles, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence of Australia, H.E. General Tea Seiha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence of Cambodia, will lead a high-level defence delegation to Australia for an official visit from Sept. 6 to 10, 2026. This will be the first and historic visit by the Cambodian Minister of National Defence to Australia, underlined a press release of the Ministry of National Defence made public this afternoon. During the visit, it pointed out, H.E. General Tea Seiha is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with H.E. Richard Marles, as well as with other Australian defence officials. The official visit is expected to reaffirm the historic and friendly relations between Cambodia and Australia, while further strengthening bilateral military and defence cooperation between the two countries, emphasised the press release.
