NA Chairman Departs for Official Visits to RoK, Mongolia
Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man has embarked on official visits to the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Mongolia. The trips aim to strengthen comprehensive strategic partnerships, deepen political trust, and promote concrete cooperation in economic and trade sectors.
The top Vietnamese legislator, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, has departed for official visits to the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Mongolia from September 6-11. These trips are deemed significant for implementing the foreign policy outlined by the 14th National Party Congress and Politburo Resolution No. 06-NQ/TW, and for concretizing the orientations and agreements reached by Vietnam's senior leaders with the two partner nations. The official visit to the RoK by Chairman Tran Thanh Man underscores Vietnam's consistent emphasis on its bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The objective is to bolster political trust and to deliberate on concrete measures for translating high-level agreements into tangible outcomes. Vietnam values its relationship with the RoK and aims to enhance cooperation across various sectors, including politics, economy, trade, investment, science and technology, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges. Similarly, the visit to Mongolia is anticipated to further cultivate the long-standing friendship between the two countries, which was elevated to a Comprehensive Cooperative Partnership in 2017. The agenda includes strengthening collaboration, particularly in economic, trade, investment, scientific-technological, and tourism domains, as well as fostering people-to-people exchanges, with the aim of delivering substantial benefits to both populations and expanding cooperation within both bilateral and multilateral frameworks. These state visits are considered pivotal for bilateral ties and for their broader implications on regional and global peace, stability, and cooperation. Parliamentary diplomacy is recognized for its important role in consolidating political trust and in overseeing the execution of agreements reached at the highest levels. Vietnam, operating under a one-party system, has been focused on economic development and utilizes a strategy of enhancing relationships with friendly countries to optimize its national interests. Despite the complexities in its relationship with China, maintaining cordial relations with neighboring states is crucial for its economic trajectory. The current visits to the RoK and Mongolia are integral to Vietnam's diversified diplomatic approach. Source: VietnamPlus English
