It has been reported that a ceremony was held on August 1 at the Central Military Command, where 303 individuals from various armed organizations, including the PDF, who surrendered with weapons, were handed over to their guardians. A ceremony was held at the Central Military Command in Mandalay City to welcome and provide financial assistance to those who have returned to the legal framework with their weapons and ammunition, from various armed organizations including the PDF. At the ceremony, 303 individuals from 45 armed groups from various regions, including those from the PDF, surrendered with 9 rifles, 1 homemade gun, 17 magazines, 678 rounds of ammunition, and 12 hand grenades. Mandala Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung delivered a speech to the surrendering individuals, and financial assistance was provided. Central Military Command Commander Major General Aung Htay gave an educational speech, accepted the surrendered weapons, and presented commemorative gifts, it was learned. "With the government's lenient policy, understanding the nation's goodwill and gaining correct insight, 303 individuals from various PDF organizations, who have come in with weapons and related materials wishing to participate in the peace process including the nation's development, have been welcomed and accepted by the Military Command, systematically handed over to their guardians, and provided with financial assistance. Therefore, we warmly welcome the young men and women who have come into the legal framework, knowing the true intentions of the nation," said Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung at the ceremony. As of August 1, a total of 2,700 individuals have surrendered to the Central Military Command.
