The special passenger train No. 74 downcountry from Pyay to Yangon will depart from Pyay Station at 1:30 PM and arrive at Yangon Station at 7:00 PM. It is known that the trains will stop at intermediate stations including Tanyin-gone, Thayarwady, Letpan-tan, Min-hla, Kyauk-pyin-go, Nat-ta-lin, and Poan-tin stations. The train consists of one DEMU set with two first-class coaches and four second-class coaches. The first-class coaches can accommodate 66 passengers, and the second-class coaches can accommodate 224 passengers, for a total of 290 passengers. The fare for the entire journey will be 20,000 Kyats for first-class coaches and 15,000 Kyats for second-class coaches. The journey time for the entire trip will be only 6 hours, making it possible to travel round trip within a day. Furthermore, it is known that tickets for the No. 71 upcountry and No. 72 downcountry express passenger trains currently running on the Yangon-Pyay railway section can be purchased through the Online Railways Ticketing and Payment System (ORTP), similar to the DEMU train sets.
