Phnom Penh Governor Urges Officials to Serve Citizens Comprehensively
Phnom Penh Governor has instructed district and commune officials to comprehensively serve citizens, focusing on improving their livelihoods and maintaining public order. He emphasized regular checks on infrastructure and support for the needy to earn public trust and continued support for the Cambodian People's Party.
Phnom Penh Governor Khuong Sreng has instructed district and commune officials to serve citizens comprehensively, focusing on both improving their livelihoods and maintaining public security, order, and sanitation. This includes regularly inspecting drainage, canals, and roads to earn citizens' trust and respect, thereby encouraging continued votes for the Cambodian People's Party. Governor Sreng issued these directives during a meeting with members of the Party Committee for Toul Svay Prey 1 and 2 communes in Boeung Keng Kang district on the afternoon of July 22, 2026, after administrative hours. He urged district chiefs and commune chiefs to monitor and address situations where citizens are experiencing hardship, such as lacking the means to perform funeral rites or afford coffins. The Phnom Penh City Hall will cover these expenses, and citizens in need are encouraged to contact their nearest commune or district administration for assistance. He noted that such support yields significant merit. Furthermore, Governor Sreng stated that to maintain popularity and continued support from the electorate, it is crucial to address shortcomings, especially in providing public services to citizens more effectively. He asserted that the Cambodian People's Party must continue to achieve victory and will remain victorious indefinitely, as no other party possesses the capability to safeguard peace like the Cambodian People's Party. He also referenced the development of the nation in all sectors and the firm commitment to territorial integrity by Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Prime Minister Hun Manet. Therefore, he instructed officials to disseminate this information widely among the populace to ensure their understanding and continued support, leading to victories in the 2027 and 2028 elections. Village chiefs confirmed that residents in their areas fully support the measures taken by Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Prime Minister Hun Manet concerning the Cambodia-Thailand border dispute and the boycott of Thai goods.
