The Venerable Sitagu Sayadaw is carrying out the missionary work both domestically and internationally to promote Buddhism and the flourishing of the Sasana. The Sayadaw also established the Sitagu Ayudana Hospital on Sagaing Hill on March 10th, 1990, and later expanded the services across various regions and states, reaching a total of 44 facilities. These hospitals have been providing care to over two million eye related patients and have restored sight loss to approximately 500,000 individuals. Furthermore, the Sayadaw has set a target of raising 5 billion kyats health trust fund to support eye patients. Donors wishing to contribute to this initiative can make donations of any amount at the Sitagu Cakkhudana Eye Hospital located in North Dagon Township, Yangon Region.
