Cambodia's Ministry of Information Visits and Donates to Retired Officials

On July 28, 2026, Cambodia's Ministry of Information visited and delivered aid to retired former officials who had served at the Agence Kampuchea Presse (AKP). Representing Minister Net Pheaktra of the Ministry of Information, Mrs. Tui Sreyrathana Netrakpeatra, who also serves as Honorary President of the Cambodian Women's Association for Peace and Development and is the Minister of Information, led a delegation from the Association of Veterans and Retirees in the Information Sector (AKP Information Sector). Accompanying the delegation were Mrs. Son Marada, Secretary of State and a member of the AKP Information Sector, along with several vice presidents, members, and the secretariat of the association. During the meeting, Mrs. Tui Sreyrathana conveyed warm greetings from Minister Net Pheaktra. The Minister emphasized that he and all the leadership of the Ministry of Information always remember and cherish the immense contributions of all retirees who have dedicated their physical and mental strength to developing the information and television sectors in Cambodia. On this meaningful occasion, the delegation also presented essential goods, daily necessities, wheelchairs, and some cash as generous gifts from Minister Net Pheaktra and his wife to the retired officials. Additionally, the team informed them about registering as members of the Retirees Association to foster closer connections and receive further attention. This visit clearly demonstrates the deep care, sentiment, and profound gratitude towards former civil servants who have diligently fulfilled their duties serving the nation in the information sector in the past.
