Persija Targets League Title for Jakarta's 500th Anniversary in 2027, Strengthens Bank Jakarta Partnership

Persija Jakarta has set an ambitious target to win the Indonesian League in the 2026/2027 season, aiming to present the league trophy as a gift for the 500th Anniversary of Jakarta (HUT) in 2027. This target was conveyed by Persija Club President Mohammad Prapanca during the Bank Jakarta x Persija Collaboration Kick-Off event held at Taman Suropati, Menteng, Central Jakarta. Prapanca emphasized that the collaboration with Bank Jakarta is not merely a commercial partnership but an integral part of strengthening Jakarta's sports ecosystem. He noted that both Persija and Bank Jakarta share strong ties with the capital's residents. "Thank you to Bank Jakarta for the trust and collaboration that has been established with Persija. This collaboration was established thanks to the initiative of the Governor through the spirit of 'Jakarta must be more Persija,'" Prapanca stated. He expressed hope that this support will serve as an additional motivation for the team as they face the new season, with the club's primary ambition being to conclude the competition as champions. He assessed that this target aligns with the support received from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, Bank Jakarta, the Jakmania (fan base), and the people of Jakarta. The synergy of these various elements is expected to be a crucial capital for Persija amidst increasingly tight league competition. Furthermore, the partnership with Bank Jakarta is anticipated to yield broader benefits, not only for the club but also for the community. "The collaboration between Bank Jakarta and Persija is not merely a cooperation between two institutions, but the unity of two entities of Jakarta pride. This is a step to bring more experiences and benefits to the people of Jakarta," Prapanca said. He hopes this cooperation will be long-lasting and directly felt by all Jakarta residents. Prapanca also extended his appreciation to the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, for the support provided to Persija. He acknowledged that the local government's backing is vital in maintaining Persija's identity as a club intrinsically linked to Jakarta. "Thank you to all the people of Jakarta and also Jakmania. Hopefully, this new season we can unite Jakarta. Persija is a part that will always be for Jakarta," he added.
