PM meets Vietnamese staff, community in India, reaffirms foreign policy
During his visit to India, Vietnamese Prime Minister Hung met with staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and the local community in New Delhi, emphasizing the Party's foreign affairs policies, particularly concerning overseas Vietnamese. The meeting also touched upon strengthening bilateral relations and expanding economic cooperation.
Prime Minister Hung met with staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and representative agencies in New Delhi on September 13, stating that officials and employees working overseas must firmly grasp the Party’s new mindset and policies on foreign affairs as well as overseas Vietnamese affairs, including the Politburo's Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW on overseas Vietnamese. The Prime Minister arrived in New Delhi, beginning his India trip for the BRICS Summit and bilateral activities. Vietnam-India relations are expected to gain fresh impetus towards more substantive cooperation. Bilateral trade between Vietnam and India surpassed US$10 billion in the first half of 2026.
