Cambodian People's Party Welcomes 748 New Members in Poipet City
The Cambodian People's Party (CPP) held a ceremony to induct 748 new members in Poipet City. The party aims to strengthen its base for upcoming local and general elections.
The Cambodian People's Party (CPP) on the morning of September 14, 2026, organized a ceremony to announce the admission of 748 new members into the CPP in Poipet City, Banteay Meanchey Province. The event was presided over by His Excellency Dr. Pan Kham Bunthorn, a member of the CPP Central Committee, Deputy Head of the CPP Working Group for Banteay Meanchey Province, and Head of the CPP Working Group for Poipet City. The ceremony was attended by Excellencies, Ladies, Gentlemen, Deputy Heads of the Party Working Group assigned to Poipet City, Commune Party Committees, and approximately 748 members of the assembly. On this occasion, Mr. Kiet Hul, Chairman of the Poipet City Party Committee, delivered a welcoming report highlighting the status of the Cambodian People's Party in Poipet City. Concurrently, Mr. Nhem Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Poipet City Party Committee, read out the decision to admit 748 new party members from the five commune party committees, including former retirees and veterans. Following the reading of the decision, representatives of the newly admitted members took an oath to follow the party's policies and respect its statutes and internal regulations. After the announcement of the decision and the oath-taking, His Excellency Dr. Pan Kham Bunthorn handed over the membership admission decision documents to 12 new members as representatives. In his address, His Excellency the President conveyed the high regards and care from Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian People's Party, and Samdech Kittipul Pundit, Samdech Techo Hun Manet, Vice President of the Cambodian People's Party, and his wife, Madam Doctor, to the members, including former retirees and veterans, who were admitted into the party at this time. His Excellency the President also expressed his admiration and high appreciation for the working group at the district and commune levels and the district and commune party committees for fulfilling their roles and responsibilities excellently, achieving many new accomplishments, especially in continuously increasing the party's membership. This membership growth is considered a strong support force to maintain the winning advantage in the 6th mandate Commune/Sangkat Council election in 2027 and the 8th mandate National Assembly election in 2028. During the occasion, His Excellency the President also extended a warm welcome to the 748 new members for their correct decision to join the Cambodian People's Party, emphasizing that it is the only party that has assisted the Cambodian people in all circumstances. He instructed all newly admitted members to diligently implement the party's political program and statutes, build good relationships with the people, actively disseminate the party's political program and state laws to the public, maintain internal solidarity and unity, safeguard party secrets, and strive to learn and improve their capabilities and virtues to fulfill their duties for the nation and motherland. Furthermore, His Excellency the President stressed that all party members must continue to support and promote the values of peace and the "Win-Win" policy. He urged them to be grateful to the founder, architect, and operator of the "Win-Win" policy, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, who brought about complete national unity and territorial integrity. He emphasized the absolute necessity of preserving "peace" at any cost. He also called for continued support for the wise and strategic stance of Samdech Techo Hun Manet, Vice President of the Cambodian People's Party and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on border issues. Once again, His Excellency the President urged all attendees to continue to strengthen the party's solidarity and internal unity, based on internal regulations, party statutes, and respect for party principles, including the principle of the minority obeying the majority and collective leadership with individual responsibility.
