Cambodian Top Rider Chim Piseth to Compete in Malaysia International Event

The Cambodian Automotive Federation has announced its full support for the determination and strong will of Cambodia's top motorcycle racer, Chim Piseth, to participate in the third round of the 'Malaysia Superbike Champion,' the largest international flat track racing event in Malaysia, to be held from August 1st to 2nd, 2026. Chim Piseth stated on July 25th that this race differs from his previous participations. While he has competed in high-level 1000cc races before, he was recognized for his good performance on 600cc motorcycles last year. The transition to higher-powered 1000cc machines this time is a new experience. The event, which gathers top Malaysian racers and professional riders from across the continent, presents a significant challenge. However, Piseth aims to focus on maintaining his goals and determination, particularly by employing meticulous techniques to avoid falling too far behind rivals, despite limited opportunities to train on international standard tracks. Piset, also a member of the Mekong Motorcycle Club, emphasized that his participation is a source of pride as a national representative. Each appearance in international events surprises many participating countries, making them aware that Cambodia also has Superbike racers. This awareness serves as a significant motivation for him to train harder for future opportunities. Mr. Kai Vanna, Secretary-General of the Cambodian Automotive Federation, expressed his full support, acknowledging the current capabilities of Cambodian racers. He noted that the resolve not to be significantly outpaced by strong competitors in such a major international event is not a simple matter.
