Hanoi Launches New Model Cultural House to Enhance Local Cultural Life

Hanoi, Vietnam's capital, has launched a new model for its Cultural Houses, incorporating fitness and sports facilities, with the aim of enhancing the quality of cultural life at the grassroots level. This initiative is designed to promote the mental and physical well-being of residents. In recent years, Hanoi has been focusing on the development of public facilities in line with its urban expansion. Notably, the city has mandated the allocation of land for schools, healthcare facilities, and cultural and sports establishments in new urban development areas. The introduction of this new Cultural House model is part of this broader urban planning strategy. The new model aims not only to provide spaces for traditional cultural activities but also to meet the contemporary needs of residents for health promotion and recreation. By integrating sports facilities, it is expected to foster deeper community interaction through diverse activities and revitalize local communities. Hanoi has previously undertaken various cultural promotion initiatives, including honoring exemplary "cultural families," the national intangible cultural heritage status for Hanoi's 'Pho' (noodle soup), and the transfer of management rights for Ba Vi National Park and the Vietnam National Village for the Study of Traditional Cultures.
