ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting Affirms Enhanced Cooperation with Dialogue Partners

Phnom Penh, July 23, 2026 (AKP) – The 57th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting (AMM) successfully concluded its sessions with dialogue partners, under the chairmanship of Cambodia. During the meeting, consensus was reached to further deepen the cooperative ties between ASEAN and its key dialogue partners, in response to the increasingly complex regional and international landscape. Emphasis was placed on strengthening collaboration for economic recovery and sustainable development. Vigorous discussions were held on concrete cooperation measures in areas such as trade facilitation, investment promotion, and the development of the digital economy. In the security domain, the establishment of coordinated frameworks to address common challenges, including counter-terrorism, maritime security, and cybersecurity, was affirmed. As the chair, Cambodia played a crucial role in maintaining ASEAN's unity and fostering constructive dialogue with its diverse range of dialogue partners.
