Cambodian Ruling Party Urges Strengthened Election Preparations in Svay Rieng Province

Senior Advisor to the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP), Men Sam An, has instructed the Svay Rieng Provincial Party Committee to strengthen its action plan in preparation for upcoming elections. Samdech Kittisangahabundit Men Sam An, who also serves as the Chief of the CPP working group for Svay Rieng Province, issued these directives during a meeting of the Svay Rieng Provincial Party Committee's Election Campaign Command on the morning of August 2, 2026. The meeting was held at the CPP Headquarters in Svay Rieng Province to review and guide the action plan towards successful election outcomes. Mr. Men Vibol, Chairman of the CPP Committee of Svay Rieng Province, reported on the implementation of the provincial-level election campaign action plan and the preparations made to ensure the smooth, orderly, and highly secure conduct of the election campaign. To enhance the effectiveness of the work, Samdech Kittisangahabundit Men Sam An provided recommendations and guidance to all members, particularly the Election Campaign Command, focusing on four key areas: 1. Continuously maintain strong internal solidarity from the provincial level down to the village and commune/Sangkat levels. 2. All working groups at every level must consistently engage with local communities to understand the well-being and requests of the citizens, and to resolve their issues in a timely manner. 3. Diligently disseminate and explain the significant achievements of the government and the political program of the Cambodian People's Party to all segments of the population. 4. Uphold election laws, regulations, and procedures with dignity, and maintain a peaceful, secure, and safe environment. The directive underscores the CPP's organized approach to election preparations at the local level, emphasizing engagement with constituents and the dissemination of party policies. The focus on fairness and order in elections reflects a broader aim for stability in the nation's political landscape.
