King and Queen Mother Commend Hun Sen's Dedication to Defending Nation, Territory, and Peace

His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni and Her Majesty Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk have commended Samdech Techo Hun Sen for his dedication and sacrifices in defending the nation, territory, sovereignty, and peace, in a royal message celebrating his 75th birthday. The King praised Hun Sen's outstanding heroic deeds and invaluable contributions, noting his unwavering patriotism, physical and mental efforts, and wise, skillful intellect in enhancing national prestige. The King highlighted the achievement of peace, stability, and rapid development and prosperity in all sectors through national construction and defense, territorial integrity, national sovereignty, and complete national unity and solidarity. Furthermore, His Majesty acknowledged Hun Sen's significant role as acting head of state during the King's health check-ups in China. Hun Sen currently leads the Senate, Cambodia's supreme legislative body, continuously achieving major accomplishments for the nation and earning widespread acclaim both domestically and internationally. Similarly, the Queen Mother lauded Hun Sen's exemplary heroism, emphasizing that his wise leadership, unwavering determination, and resolute will have enabled Cambodia to enjoy peace, stability, complete national unity, and solidarity, as well as development in all fields. She particularly commended his efforts in improving the people's living standards and elevating the nation's prestige on the national and international stage. It is recalled that in August 2025, during the invasion of Cambodian territory by the Thai military, in accordance with the spirit of the Constitution, His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni delegated authority to Samdech Techo Hun Sen, a five-star General, to coordinate on military affairs, national defense, national sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Hun Sen, along with General Hun Manet, other leaders, and top Cambodian commanders, led the armed forces to resist the invasion by the Thai side, which used all types of heavy weaponry against Cambodian territory.
