Vietnam's 20-Year Journey to End Bear Bile Farming: Progress and Challenges

For instance, a roundtable discussion titled "Ending Bear Farming Activities in Hanoi" was organized in the capital, serving as a platform to foster cooperation and enhance awareness among stakeholders. Furthermore, individual rescue cases, such as the successful rehabilitation of a bear named Millie, which subsequently led to another household voluntarily ending its bear-keeping practices, highlight the potential for individual animal welfare to drive broader behavioral change. However, the path forward is not without its challenges. Past experiences and discussions have pointed out that "ending bear farming requires a shift in approach, moving beyond mere reliance on financial aid to more effective advocacy and support methods."
