The baby was immediately taken into protective custody upon the train's arrival at Solo Balapan Station. According to Feni Novida Saragih, Public Relations Manager for KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta, the discovery was made by train personnel around 7:20 AM WIB while the Sancaka train was en route to Surabaya. "Train personnel found an infant in the toilet of executive carriage 3. The discovery was then reported to the Service Control Center, which immediately coordinated with Solo Balapan Station," Feni stated in a written statement on Saturday (4/7/2026). Feni explained that around 7:30 AM, the infant was handed over to the health post at Solo Balapan Station for examination. Three minutes later, precisely at 7:33 AM, the Sancaka 84B train resumed its journey to its final destination. The infant was reported to be in good health.
