Hanoi's Metro Line 5 Underground Construction Advances, Modernizing Transport Network

Construction is steadily advancing on Metro Line 5 in Vietnam's capital, Hanoi, as part of efforts to modernize the urban transport network. Approximately 500 meters of fencing have been erected on Van Cao Street to prepare for the construction of the S1 (Quan Ngua) underground station for Metro Line 5. This station is a crucial component of Hanoi's transport infrastructure development. In conjunction with the construction, traffic management in the surrounding areas has been adjusted. Specifically, traffic organization near the intersection of La Thanh and Nguyen Chi Thanh streets has been modified to ensure the smooth progress of Metro Line 5 construction, aiming to mitigate traffic congestion and ensure safety during the works. Hanoi has been prioritizing the expansion of its public transport network to cope with urbanization driven by rapid economic growth in recent years. The development of the metro system is expected to help alleviate chronic traffic congestion, improve air quality, and enhance mobility for citizens. Metro Line 5 is anticipated to become a backbone infrastructure connecting key areas of Hanoi and supporting the city's development.
