Cambodia Urges Compliance with Construction Laws to Enhance Development and Citizen Welfare
The Governor of Cambodia's Kandal province has urged citizens to comply with construction laws, pledging support for safe and quality housing. The province also aims to streamline administrative processes for efficient public services.
Kandal Provincial Governor Kuoch Chamroeun has called on relevant officials and authorities to continue supporting and encouraging citizens to build decent housing, while also guiding and instructing them to respect and comply with construction laws and regulations. This is to ensure the safety, order, and quality of construction. Simultaneously, relevant ministries, agencies, and technical officials are urged to continue cooperating and facilitating to reduce complexities in the process of drawing plans and applying for construction permits. This will enable citizens to receive efficient, transparent, and prompt administrative services in accordance with the law. Governor Kuoch Chamroeun led a meeting on construction permit applications in Kandal province on September 16, 2026, which was attended by deputy governors and representatives from relevant ministries and agencies.
