However, a proliferation of unauthorized stalls has emerged, with many extending their seating areas dangerously close to the cliff edge. While local authorities have installed guardrails and warning signs in some sections to alert people to the dangers, these measures have not fully resolved the issue. Employees at some of these stalls report that customers, particularly on sunny days or holidays, often gather to take photos and then depart quickly. Residents have expressed concern about tourists sitting at the cliff's edge for photos and children running around in these hazardous areas. Currently, there are no specific penalties for individuals who sit near the cliff edge for sightseeing or check-ins. Authorities have primarily relied on reminders and warning signs. The People's Committee of Bac Nha Trang ward stated that they have conducted several operations to remove encroaching stalls in this area. Moving forward, they intend to establish an interdisciplinary team to inspect and handle illegal businesses operating within the road safety corridor on the pass. This situation highlights a common challenge in Vietnam's rapid development, where economic growth and tourism promotion sometimes outpace safety regulations and enforcement.
