Canadian Navy Ship HMCS Regina Departs Cambodia After Successful Visit

The Canadian Navy frigate HMCS Regina (FFH-334) safely departed the territorial waters of the Kingdom of Cambodia on Thursday, September 24, 2026, after completing a three-day visit to the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port. During the ship's visit, naval officers from the Ream Naval Base, led by Deputy Commander Rear Admiral In Sokhemra, saw the Canadian warship off at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port's wharf. The visit was aimed at strengthening solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between the navies of the two countries (Cambodia-Canada). During their stay at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port, the Canadian Navy delegation also paid courtesy calls to the leadership of the Sihanoukville provincial administration, the commander of the Ream Naval Base, and several leaders from the Ministry of National Defence. In addition to courtesy calls, friendly sports competitions were held between the navies of Cambodia and Canada, fostering close ties and an exchange of experiences.
