AI Drives Transformation in Vietnam's Cultural Industries

In Vietnam, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly establishing itself as a core technology for the development of its cultural industries. AI is fundamentally transforming the methods of creation, production, and distribution of cultural products, significantly contributing to the preservation of Vietnam's rich heritage, the promotion of national identity, and the enhancement of competitiveness in the international market. Notably, the establishment of Vietnam's cultural identity and sovereignty in the digital space is entering a new phase through the application of AI. The digitalization of cultural infrastructure is leading to an increase in soft power, acting as a catalyst for accelerating the dissemination of Vietnamese culture both domestically and internationally. AI also holds the potential to provide a 'yardstick' for objectively evaluating the outcomes of the cultural industry. Recently, exhibitions featuring AI-generated artworks have been held, opening new horizons for creativity. The Vietnamese government has issued decrees concerning digital cultural infrastructure, establishing a framework to create new space for the development of the cultural industry in the digital environment. This represents a crucial step for Vietnam's cultural industry to further enhance its presence on the international stage, driven by the synergy between AI technological advancements and policy support.
