Thailand's energy policy agency has unveiled a draft of the upcoming Power Development Plan (PDP2026). This plan is set to be a crucial guideline for Thailand's future electricity supply system. A key focus is the projected average electricity tariff. According to the draft, the average electricity price is forecast to remain within the range of 3.83 to 3.89 baht per kilowatt-hour. However, this tariff setting is likely to be influenced by numerous factors, including the expansion of renewable energy adoption and fluctuations in natural gas prices. The agency plans to hold public consultations on this draft on September 8, 2026.
