Cambodia Expands Vocational Training for Youth with 2,560 Free Scholarships Across 15 Fields
The Cambodian Institute for Skill Development has announced 2,560 free scholarships and monthly stipends across 15 vocational fields as part of a program to train 1.5 million youth from poor and vulnerable families. General youth can also enroll for free.
The Cambodian Institute for Skill Development has announced the provision of 2,560 free scholarships across 15 vocational fields to foster youth employment and income generation. This initiative is part of the "Vocational and Technical Training for 1.5 Million Youth Program (TVET 1.5M)" targeting 1.5 million young individuals from poor and vulnerable families. The scholarships cover specialized areas including: building electrical wiring installation, aquaculture, vegetable and fruit processing, animal husbandry, computer services, home air conditioning equipment services, automobile maintenance and repair, agricultural machinery engineering, road and bridge construction engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, air conditioning equipment, information technology, and electric welding. This scholarship provision aims to enable target youth to receive free professional training and access stipends and other benefits according to government principles. General youth are also eligible to enroll in these training programs free of charge.
