Cambodia's economy maintained its recovery momentum in the first half of 2026, growing by 3.5%. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) reached $2.6 billion, an 18.5% increase year-on-year, with 845 new businesses established, creating over 91,000 jobs.
Cambodia's economy maintained its recovery momentum in the first half of 2026, with a growth rate of 3.5%. During this period, the "Land of Pagodas" attracted $2.6 billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), an 18.5% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Additionally, 845 new businesses were established, creating over 91,000 jobs. Cambodia is also strengthening the protection of migrant workers in the fisheries sector. Furthermore, strong growth in industrial production and the promotion of domestic product consumption are boosting economic expansion. Facilitating cross-border e-commerce between Vietnam and Cambodia is also expected to contribute to strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
