A magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck off the waters of Jomalig, Quezon, on Wednesday evening, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said. The epicenter was located 93 kilometers east of Jomalig, Quezon, at 10:11 p.m. It was tectonic in origin. Phivolcs warned that aftershocks were expected following the tremor.
