Prabowo Admits Initial Fatigue, Feels Energized at PKB's 28th Anniversary

President Prabowo Subianto admitted to feeling tired before attending the 28th anniversary of the National Awakening Party (PKB). However, upon arriving at the venue and receiving an enthusiastic welcome from PKB cadres, his fatigue dissipated, and he felt re-energized. Speaking at the event held at JCC, Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday (23/7/2026), Prabowo stated, "To be honest, I was tired at first. Oh, another PKB event. But when I arrived, I felt a different kind of energy." He confessed his initial feeling of fatigue, which he overcame upon seeing the warm reception. Upon reaching the event location, Prabowo claimed to have felt a new spirit thanks to the warm welcome from PKB cadres. He was greeted with a drum band performance playing a patriotic song. "PKB welcomed me with a drum band. What was that song earlier? Something like 'Maju Tak Gentar,'" he said. Prabowo then joked that PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) had deliberately prepared a reception suitable for his background as a retired TNI officer. "Gus Imin truly... he studied. He asked around, 'Oh, this is... Retired General Prabowo, can we welcome him with... with drums? Oh no, no, no, we'll welcome him with a drum band. So he'll be energized,'" he stated. Not only that, but Prabowo also admitted to being impressed upon entering the event hall and hearing the PKB anthem being sung. "Entering here, they played the PKB anthem again. Wow. The PKB anthem... be careful, study that. Who composed that song?" he remarked. Prabowo also appreciated the recommendations from the Ijtima Ulama that were presented to him during the event, stating that PKB had prepared various things well. "When I attend a halal bi halal event, I... I also look at what's there. After that, I was given these Ijtima Ulama recommendations. PKB is great, extraordinary. Thank you," he said.
