Vietnam Holds Online Contest to Boost Traffic Law Understanding Among Students

An online contest, '2026 Traffic Order and Safety Law Understanding Contest,' themed 'Upholding the Law to Build a Safe Traffic Culture for Students,' has been launched in Vietnam. Organized by the Cong Ly Newspaper under the Ministry of Justice, in coordination with the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security and Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the initiative aims to bring traffic laws closer to young people. This program is designed to deepen students' understanding of traffic laws and foster a safe traffic culture. In Vietnam, with the rapid increase in cars and motorbikes accompanying economic growth, traffic safety has become a critical social issue. Especially in urban areas, traffic congestion and accidents are frequent, making it urgent to enhance safety awareness among the youth. The contest offers an interactive platform for acquiring legal knowledge and aims to cultivate a sense of responsibility as future drivers. Under Vietnam's one-party system, maintaining social order is a priority, and traffic safety is promoted as part of this. The government emphasizes legal compliance as a duty for every citizen, and awareness campaigns through educational institutions are a concrete implementation of this policy. Past initiatives, such as those in Ca Mau province, have focused on cultivating traffic culture from a young age, demonstrating ongoing efforts for nationwide awareness enhancement.
