The accident occurred at 00:20 a.m. on July 20 along the Phap Van–Cau Gie–Cao Bo–Mai Son–National Highway 45–Nghi Son route. Following the incident, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung stressed that building new homes for affected families is an immediate priority, as ordered by the Prime Minister, to restore normal life at the earliest possible time. The directive was sent to the Ministers of Public Security and Construction, as well as the chairpersons of provincial and municipal People's Committees, underscoring the government's commitment to addressing the consequences of the accident and supporting those impacted.
