ACLEDA Super App Simplifies Vehicle Inspection Certificate Renewal in Cambodia
Cambodia's ACLEDA Bank Super App now allows vehicle owners to apply for technical inspection certificate renewals online, eliminating the need for in-person visits to inspection centers. This collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport aims to enhance digital service adoption and public convenience.
Vehicle owners in Cambodia can now apply for the renewal of their technical inspection certificates, commonly known as “Chhiek,” through ACLEDA Bank’s Super App, eliminating the need for in-person visits to inspection centers. This service is a result of cooperation between the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and ACLEDA Bank. Phal Sokchamroeun, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of ACLEDA Bank, stated that the service supports the wider adoption of digital services, offering the public a faster and more convenient experience while reducing administrative complexity. He emphasized ACLEDA Bank's commitment to developing its digital banking services and expanding cooperation with relevant institutions to make public services more accessible, secure, and responsive to citizens’ needs in the digital era. To use the service, users open the ACLEDA Super App, navigate to “Other Services,” and select “MPWT Public Service.” After accepting the terms and conditions, they choose “Vehicle Inspection Certificate Renewal.” The process involves scanning a QR code to verify vehicle information using the vehicle identification card, tax document, or existing inspection certificate. Required documents, including the vehicle identification card, tax document, inspection certificate, and the applicant's national identification card, must be uploaded. Finally, users select their preferred inspection date and center and pay the applicable service fee to complete the application. This digital service allows vehicle owners to prepare and submit their applications more quickly and conveniently, choosing an inspection time and location that best suits their needs. It aligns with the Cambodian government's digital transformation strategy, aiming to enhance the efficiency and transparency of public services. Information Source: Cambodia Investment Review
