Project Supervisory Committee: Union-level project supervisory committee held meeting

The 1/2026 meeting of the Union-Level Project Supervisory Committee for programs implemented with the Country’s Economic Promotion Fund was held on the afternoon of July 7 at the meeting hall of the Union Minister's Office, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation in Nay Pyi Taw. At the meeting, the Committee Chairman, Deputy Minister U Bo Bo Kyaw, delivered an address, stating that discussions and actions must be taken on matters that need to be addressed to ensure the successful implementation of programs funded by the Country’s Economic Promotion Fund in meeting their objectives, to ensure compliance with financial regulations and rules concerning loans, to carry out the committee's responsibilities, and to ensure the success of future endeavors. During the meeting, Vice Chairmen, committee members, and responsible officials from various organizations presented and discussed matters pertaining to their respective sectors. The committee members in attendance discussed various issues, including ensuring contracts are signed before the planting season, arranging inputs in a timely manner, providing support only to actual farmers and breeders, the status of loan recoveries within specified timeframes for each sector, matters concerning the extension of additional loans, points requiring amendments in the projects, challenges encountered in practical implementation and collaborative discussions to achieve the objectives of the Union-Level Project Supervisory Committee, it’s reported.
