Takeo Governor Inspects Boeng Takeo Ring Road Construction, Hailed as Development Model

In Takeo Province, southern Cambodia, the progress of the 18-kilometer ring road construction project encircling Boeng Takeo lake was inspected on July 17. Takeo Provincial Governor Vey Samnang, accompanied by technical officials and the Don Keo municipal authorities, visited the site to assess the infrastructure development. During the inspection, Governor Vey Samnang instructed relevant ministry officials and the construction contractor to pay utmost attention to adhering to technical standards and ensuring the quality of construction. This aims to guarantee a robust and long-lasting structure, with the project slated for completion according to plan. According to the governor, this Boeng Takeo lake development project has been designated by Prime Minister Hun Manet as a "model development project" that other provinces should emulate, particularly due to its unique development in the heart of the provincial capital. Governor Vey Samnang described the ring road project as a significant infrastructure development that will not only help alleviate traffic congestion and enhance connectivity between regions but also create new potentials for tourism, commerce, and attracting investment into the province.
