Sara Duterte-linked company bagged millions in Davao City Hall contracts

MANILA, Philippines – Rappler’s investigation found that Gencorp Industries Inc., a company linked to Vice President Sara Duterte, bagged millions of pesos’ worth of government contracts for food and catering services from Davao City Hall, which is led by her brother, Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte. Since Rappler published the report, these government deals have taken center stage at the impeachment trial of the Vice President in connection with allegations of unexplained wealth. Mayor Duterte has also been summoned by the impeachment court to testify on the government contracts.
