Vietnam and Japan are accelerating efforts to strengthen cooperation in the semiconductor sector. The Vietnam-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership values mutual benefit and serves as the foundation for long-term collaboration. Specifically, platforms like the Vietnam-Japan Science and Technology Forum (VJSS-2026) provide opportunities for scientists, experts, and businesses to discuss the latest advances across a wide range of areas, including chip design, semiconductor components and materials, manufacturing, packaging, testing technologies, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing. Such forums are expected to promote technology transfer and joint research and development, contributing to the enhancement of Vietnam's position in the semiconductor industry's supply chain. Vietnam is increasingly attractive as a manufacturing hub amidst global efforts to diversify supply chains, driven by geopolitical risk mitigation.
