The robbery occurred on Monday, August 3rd, around 7:30 PM on Jalan Sindang Sari, Cipadung, Panyileukan district. The victim, a minor, was riding a motorcycle with a friend and operating their mobile phone when the perpetrators struck. According to AKBP Anton, Head of the Bandung Police Criminal Investigation Unit, the couple snatched the phone and fled but were pursued by residents, eventually leading to their handover to the Cipadung Police. Anton stated that the couple's actions were deliberate and planned, with economic issues, specifically unemployment, being the primary motivation.
