Couple Arrested in Bandung for Robbery, Citing Economic Hardship

A married couple in Bandung, West Java, has been arrested for jointly robbing a minor of a mobile phone, citing economic difficulties as their motive. The couple, identified by initials AS and PS, were apprehended by residents after the incident. The robbery occurred on Monday, August 3rd, around 7:30 PM on Jalan Sindang Sari, Cipadung, Panyileukan district. The victim, a minor, was riding a motorcycle with a friend and operating their mobile phone when the perpetrators struck. According to AKBP Anton, Head of the Bandung Police Criminal Investigation Unit, the couple snatched the phone and fled but were pursued by residents, eventually leading to their handover to the Cipadung Police.
