1st Myanmar Gems Emporium in Yunnan

Union Minister for Natural Resources & Environmental Conservation U San Oo on Wednesday received Mr. Wang Yubo, the Governor of Yunnan Province in China. Both sides frankly discussed the implementation of the Gems Emporium and close trade cooperation between two nations. Subsequently, the Union Minister attended the opening ceremony of the Myanmar Gems Emporium held at the Jiegao International Jade & Jewelry Trade Center. In his opening remarks, Mr. Wang Yubo expressed his appreciation to all those who had contributed to organizing the fair. He also stated that efforts would continue to expand cross-border trade cooperation between the two countries. Union Minister U San Oo then spoke on the preparations made to ensure the successful organization of the Myanmar Gems Emporium. He further emphasized that the fair would serve as a platform to strengthen cooperation and further promote cross-border trade between Myanmar and China. The Union Minister and the Yunnan later formally opened the emporium and observe raw jade lots displayed there. It is learnt that the Myanmar Gem Emporium is scheduled to be held from July 22 to 25.
